Irene holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health and school counseling. Before joining Texans to the Rescue, she served the community as a high school English and Spanish teacher, as well as a school counselor. She finds it extremely rewarding to be part of an organization that helps improve the community and contributes to the overall health of the people in El Paso and the surrounding areas. In her spare time, Irene plays frisbee with her four Blue Heelers and enjoys reading, journaling and crafting.
