Deborah Ontiveros Ph.D., LPC-S, CEAP, PHR

Deborah is a psychologist in private practice with over 25 years of experience specializing in Employee Assistance Program design and implementation. Throughout her career she has worked with local police, federal law enforcement and military personnel to develop policies and procedures that address trauma response, stress management and routine counseling. Deborah is the spouse of a federal law enforcement officer and understands the influence a lifestyle career like law enforcement has on family dynamics. Drawing on the insights she gained through her professional and personal experiences with responders and public safety officers, Deborah felt moved to launch Texans to the Rescue to provide alternative services and support to responders and their families.

Deborah holds a bachelor’s in English and creative writing, a master’s in counseling and a Ph.D. in psychology. She loves traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with her four grandchildren.
